Initial Acupuncture

Required for all (non-insurance) patients

Your first visit includes a full consultation plus everything in a Full Acupuncture Session. The intake allows your practitioner to review your health history and goals, followed by a complete treatment during the same visit.

Full Acupuncture

A 70-minute acupuncture session that may include adjunct therapies such as cupping, e-stim, moxibustion, tuina, or gua sha at the practitioner’s discretion. Each treatment begins with a thorough medical intake, and the practitioner may provide personalized nutrition and exercise recommendations as needed.

Basic Acupuncture

A 45-minute acupuncture session focused solely on needling, with no additional modalities provided. Patients are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing that allows the practitioner access to the necessary body points.

Cupping Therapy | Guasha

Both cupping and Gua Sha are traditional therapies that help improve circulation, release muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing response. Cupping uses glass or plastic cups placed on the skin to create suction—traditionally with heat (“fire cupping”) or more commonly today with a small pump. This suction draws fresh blood to the area, helping relieve stagnation and ease discomfort. Gua Sha involves gently scraping the skin with a smooth-edged tool to release tension, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. These therapies may be recommended by your practitioner as add-ons to acupuncture sessions

Medical Consultation

This one-on-one consultation is designed for individuals who want to learn whether acupuncture may benefit their specific condition. We will review your health history, discuss your concerns, and explain how acupuncture could support your needs. No treatment is performed during this visit—it’s an opportunity to ask questions and explore if acupuncture is right for you.

Bodywork Therapy

Combination of cupping and massage with practitioner uses core products with variable speed massager and percussion muscle massage gun. This therapy brings fresh blood to the area and helps improve circulation. Traditional cupping, sometimes referred to as “fire cupping,” uses heat to create a vacuum-like suction inside of glass cups. In modern times, cups that use a small pump to create suction have also been introduced.

Facial Rejuvenation with Body Acupuncture

Office Policy

Insurance Billing

We are happy to bill your insurance company for you. If you would like us to bill your insurance, we will contact your insurer(s) and bill them the reasonable and customary fee for services rendered. If we are unable to obtain a verification of benefits from your insurer for any reason, we will require a discounted time of service payment at the date and time of your appointment.You are responsible for all co-payments, deductibles and other adjustments made by your insurer(s). You are responsible for and will be billed for any resulting unpaid balance.

Any cosmetic acupuncture service is cash based only, insurance is not applicable for this service.

Cash Billing

Time of Service Payments.Patients not billing insurance will be required to pay at time of service. A time of service discount is provided for these patients. For your convenience, ProviStar Acupuncture accepts cash, check, and credit card.

MissedAppointments/LateCancellations

All appointment cancellations must occur within 24-hour of the appointment. If it is less than 24 hours, you will be charged $60 for the missed private initial appointment and $45 for a missed private returns appointment. Late arrivals more than 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time are subject to the cancellation fee. You are responsible for and will be billed the resulting cancellation fee.

Past Due Accounts

Accounts greater than 30 days past due will be charged a $10 administrative fee. Accounts greater than 90 days overdue will be sent to a collection’s agency.
